Roosenberg Abbey

From their origins in early Christianity, monks and nuns have extended hospitality to guests. They have opened their monasteries to women and men "in the world," for contemplation, meditation, and reflection. Every religious tradition offers ways to restore the balance between activity and contemplation.

As a community, we too understand hospitality as both a spiritual and physical welcome. Welcoming God as Other, we also welcome others as an important aspect of our Franciscan spirituality.
